This article provides a step-by-step guide to unlocking a BT Voyager 2091 or 2500V, so that it will work with any ISP.
Step 1: Download the firmware.

If you want the Dynalink firmware:

We are now releasing the firmware which we cracked ourselves to general consumption. Up until now we've had to keep it to ourselves for commercial reasons.
However, as most of the routers that needed unlocking have now been sold, we are happy to release the firmware for general consumption.
Our firmware enables VPNs to work properly, amongst other things, and we recommend you use it instead of the Dynalink firmware.
We have used this firmware to unlock over 2000 units. However, you do still use it at your own risk!

BT Voyager 2500
NB: there are two firmwares for the 2500. The BBV version is unlocked. However if you are on BT and use their other VOIP package then the VOIP won't work. In which case, use the BTR one. THis will keep it locked, but allow your VOIP to work.

Obviously, only download the firmware you need.
In the remainder of the article we will upgrade a 210. The screens are virtually identical for a 2091 or 2500 though, so just follow along and you will be fine.
Step 2: Load the web admin.
You can either use the Puzbie CD for this, or open up your browser and surf to http://192.168.1.1. You will get the screen shown below.
Step 3: Enter the ADVANCED menu
First, click the ADVANCED link shown above. You will now get the screen shown below. You need to click ADVANCED again as shown.

At some point you will get a dialog similar to the one shown below. The default username and password is as follows:
Username:
admin
Password:
admin
Step 4: Enter the UPGRADE menu
From the ADVANCED menu, select SYSTEM

Then select UPGRADE
Step 5: Upgrade the firmware
First select LOCAL PC

Now browse to wherever you saved the firmware and select it.

Finally click UPDATE.

You will get a message saying the firmware is being upgraded.

The modem will then restart.

Congratulations! New firmware! It looks pretty identical, and it is. However, it now has a version displayed and a little picture of the modem.
Just to be on the safe side, you should now reset the router, so go back to the advanced menu and select RESET.

Check the RESET box, and away you go.
